boy, 88 acres in montgomery county, you are very lucky..
i hunted there in 1976 in my sisters back yard and had 16 buck walk in front of me after hard rain..
i was waiting for 12 point to come out a little closer and did not get him,he waited to dark..
i was hunting in olney,md.......great hunting then ..
i have to laugh on this also, she called me 1 day in winter,i said whats up..
she said, how do you get a huge deerhorn out of the snowblower..
i said, what..
yes, she had a 5 point horn stuck in her blades from smowblowing a path in her yard for dogs..
i have horn in garage and its 20 inchs long from tip to base...

This is going back a ways...16 years to be exact...but one of the nicest bucks that i've gotten with a bow, wason my hunting property in N.J on September 28th, and I heard him grunt a few times, coming thru a stand of hemlocks, before I even seen him. So I don't think it would hurt to give a few grunts, just not agressively.
