Don't expect any antler restrictions in WV

Coopers Rock State Forest already has antler restrictions. For a buck to be legal there, the outside spread must be at least 14" wide, or approximately the width of the ears. I hunted there the first day of rifle, but only saw a few does.

I am really wondering how well the antler restrictions in coopers rocks will work. I guess it is only foro the honest people. You can kill a smaller buck there and when you turn it in say you killed it somewhere else. Even if you shoot a small buck and turn it in as shot at coopers rocks the check in station really doesn't have much authroity to do anything. I for one hope the ARs work to produce some bigger bucks on the state property.
