You would rather hunt in CT over any other state in NE? Are you looking for just high deer concentrations or a good hunt in some big woods?

I'm talking quality deer and quality hunts and plenty of elbow room. Maby not as much as Maine but as a land owner in Maine I can honestly say the quality is slipping a lot. Oh and thter is plenty of deer in Ct.

I was thinking of giving Shenipsit State Forest in Tollanda try next season. Is it any good out there and how are the deer densities.

That the area I hunt the casino areas are chock full of deer. Private land is the key if your not lazy and willing to knock on some doors. Don't be discouraged by all the no's you get keep going and someone will say yes. Just keep away from my private land areas.(haha) Good luck and get ya abig un belive me they are there. Mike

Mike, how is it in Pachaug State Forest? I hear that place is huge, but I would like to know what the deer densities are like.
