How have any of you been doing? Several of us hunted at camp in Clearfield Co. the first day. I missed a doe, and my buddy hollered at it. It stopped, and he plugged it at around 40 yds. while I was reloading.
He showed up at my house Mon. afternoon, wanting to hunt here(2D). I couldn't go, so he slipped out back, and was back in about 1 hr. with another nice doe. Some luck, huh?

as for myself,i only hunt bucks,no doe killing to protect our future hunting..from what i have seen here in wmu 2g,many doe are being taken but its taking up to 3 or 4 days to get a doe..
hunters are NOT in woods from what i see, they are riding roads heavy..i am seeing very few walking in woods hunting with muzzleloader..
you have to cover territory now to get a deer and i assume by all the hunters i see riding back /forth on roads, this is how they are getting their doe..
i wish this early season crap would stop..it used to be quiet in woods archery hunting, now you have all these road huntingvehiciles back/forth all day with muzzleloaders ready ..
