I have seen the same tom everymorning for 2 weeks strutting in a field near my house - usually he has 2 or 3 hens with him but for the last couple of mornings he has been alone untill about 9 and then it looks like they are just feeding and ignoring him so I am hoping that if the pattern sticks it should be easy to call him in early before he gets hung up with the hens. By noon they're out of the field and back in the logged out tree tops where they normally nest.

I've been driving around in mornings glassing fields. I've seen more Tom's around than have in last couple yrs. Also seeing many jakes as well. Walked couple sections of woods, and spotted 8 jakes walking around together. I've also heard gobbles as late as 11:30 am w/o me doing any locator calling. I hope it'll be a exciting season, but I have a feeling they'll be clamed up come May 1st. I'm taking my son out this wknd to hopefully bag a tom. He'd be histerical to bag one of those jakes!!!!

lots of turkeys around this spring. Every noise I make when working at the Farm - seems to elicit a GOBBLE.

I'll be up in a week or two - and hunt a bit. - Hate the Black flies though.

Check the regs Walleye starts on the first Saturday in may this year.

BuckAlley you hit the nail on the head, birds had lock jaw today 5-1-06, last week end the kids got three birds, posted on youth hunts with picture. StretchHunts were are you fishing saturday, hopefully i'll be on lake erie around buffalo. Good hunting and fishing Rich K.
