Anyone lose a deer in Southern NH this year?
While out hare hunting in Southern NH yesterdayI came across this guy a long way from any road. The coyotes had eaten EVERYTHING except his feet and the top of his head, including the ribs. There wasn't a single scratch on his rack though. He's a real beauty, nice main frame 10 with 2 stickers. I have to think he was wounded as it is hard to believe a buck like this, which would have gone over 200lbs in this area, would have been coyote bait.
I know I would still be moping if I had lost this guy!

Nice looking buck, too bad it was wasted on the coyotes. A nice buck like this could have run him self down with the rut or got hurt. Souns like a good place to watch for coyotes. I used to live in Ashburnham, MA and had a pack coyotes in the yard several times. I think the damn things got our family cat.

(Bucks only). Well a MONSTER buck came trotting through and when I got over my shock, I shot at him and missed, he took off, yotes stopped coming and everyone lived through it [&:]
