Walpack,
Where up there do you hunt/park?
I park where the old church used to be, the lot was just repaved!
They knowed down the last house about 3 yrs ago. The old man
that lived there used to raise chickens, they pulled out all the
old cars and leveled the place. Do you go all the way into
the hemlock pond area or just pass the second lake on the lower lake rd? My Dad's spot is off the rd to hemlock pond, I'm not sure
he's up to that walk this year! I see a few regulars each season.
The bow hunter w/ a red ford pick up has been up there each time
I have! He hunts on the far side of the lakes (lots of bear).
Anyhow.... Good Luck and stay safe!

Don't know about that but Zone 2 still has a little corn left. a CLUB Member shot a dinker 4 pt on Sat. My dad passed him up and another guy nailed him about 1/2 hour later. He only weighed 110 lbs dressed which has been par for the course in ZOne 2. So far no decent bucks seen plenty of sign. Lots of buttons around for some reason.
Good luck.

BHCOP,
Why are you always shouting? Take off your "caps lock" key
Glad you're seeing some deer! I hope things pick up.
Usually they do once the uplanders start pushing them out of the corn fields!
HEY WALPACK!
Have you been up there yet this year?
I jumped a real nice buck 2 weeks ago up there, BUT!!!
Not where I hunt! I was down the road checkin out new spots.
There was another car in the pull off area (bow hunter)
but I never came across him.

went out tuesday all day, at 7:45 am saw the same little 4 pointer as i did on saturday, he came from the same area he went too on saturday, he showed no sign of rutting. i called him using both my estrous doe call, and my tending grunt call, he stopped but then walked off. at 9:30 am 4 bears walked by, after that nothin.

ThanX BHCOP!
My ears were killing me!
Is where you hunt an earn a buck area?
It's amazing the difference in the antlers up
there compared to down here!
I saw a road kill in bridgewater with 4 pts
each tine was 4-5" with the rack itself about 16" tall
yet up there that 4 ptr would be maybe 10" tall w/ tines
about 2"!
Glad you're seeing something!
Stay well, JWB
