How funny that you would say that.

My Dad always told me that some of the biggest bucks were hit by cars on Halloween. That was before he started bowhunting, but a good observation nonetheless. I plan to be out as much as I can from here on out.
How are you gonna have time to get a hunt in with the time switch? It will get dark real quick now. You would have to leave work about 2:00 to get a decent amount of time in the woods . Even then not much.

Seems like the time is here and now.....Git-r-done!

doublelung.....a few years back, i missed a spike on halloween(when spikes were still legal in pa). I got to hunt in Rillton this past weekend but not in those woods i wanted too. I only saw 3 doe and it was a last last light.....the one came running in and i though for sure that a buck would be behind her but nothing....oh well...good luck

NO TRICK FOR ME!!!! As i said earlier today ( halloween ) about always having a great day in the woods , i did it for the second time ! I GOT ONE!!!!! right at dark ........about 515 i did a small rattling session , with some soft grunts .....about 5 mins after i did the can about 3 times and sat to wait for dark to get down! About 10 mins b4 get down time , i heard 2 snorts from about 100 yards away out in the field. well i was thinkin ok somethin is out there to scare them obviously! as i reached for my pack to start packing my calls and stuff away , i heard loud crunching begin to come in my direction from the field. It sounded like a small game hunter , on a dead walk right into my area...... when the noise closed in to about 40 yards i saw a deer outline, i clipped on my release and when the deer came into the open out of the brush , i saw his headgear with no mistaking it!!!!, well like he was being reeled in on a fishing pole the buck came right to me , 12 yards slightly quartering to facing slightly up hill! my hoyt sent the carbon arrow through one lung , off the top of the heart and into the other lung and stuck in the opposite ribs. I usually get pass thrus but i used a 2 inch diameter expandable so that made the lack of penatration! after giving him an hour after i heard a loud crashing session followed by a running sound toward the field , i returned at dark! NO BLOOD THO!!!!! i found a few small specs on opverhanging brush in the thicket....my dad pressed ahead and walked out into the field , about 20 yards in the middle of the open was my buck, a 9 point ( basic 8 with double brow tines on one side) hes not huge but definatley a true halloween buck!!!! o yea i forgot to mention when he hit my scent trail , he stopped on a dime , no sound was needed to stop him and let er fly , it was just wild , he came in so care free and like he owned the place , ill get pics up tommorow or weds!!!!!

Sorry for being long!!!!
