Default Saw first "hard horn"...

...of the year last night! He's one of the nice 2-yr. olds thatI've been watching all summer long. Interestingly, I saw 9 other bucks on the way home from the bow shop last night, including one really good 3 yr. old and all of 'em were still in velvet. In a few days they will all be polished up. Only 46 days to go here in NY.

One of my bucks, a three yr old, just thrashed the heck out of some trees this AM. That velvet came off within minutes. I often wonder how they save any points...

Easy now boys, lets not get so excited to early! It's still a long ways off. 46 days is like eternity.

Haven't seen any like that in my neck of the woods though some other folks relatively nearby have been reporting them.
