RE: 11/09/07 help for midwest
I was at a conservation area in Crawford County, MO and did not see a single deer on Saturday. I was out there with 2 friends. One saw a buck out of range at about 2 pm and the other one didn't see anything either.

Saturday, saw 4 bucks & 2 does within 2 hours of sunrise. Saw a buck push a doe through the wide open pasture in my backyard about noon. That night they didn't come back out until dark. Sunday morning saw 2 bucks & a doe about 1/2 hour after sun up. Sunday night- I don't know I was in the garage cleaning one of the bucks I saw that morning. Monday morning saw a doe about 45 min. before sunupand saw 2 bucks about within the next 2 hours. Monday evening I saw a doe &3 bucks about 3 hours before sundown then a buck & a doe about 1/2 hour before sundown and thenanother buck about sundown, the last one joined his buddy in my frig.I live around Lincoln, Nebraska.

I went out with a camera and my brother went out with his bow. I saw a 3.5 year old crippled 125" 8 point, a mature 135" 9 point, a forkie, and an unknown deer because it was too dark to see.
My brother saw about half a dozen. Several does and two bucks. He blew a shot at the same 135" 9 that came by him (we were 1/3 mile apart).
That being said, we were sitting in good stands and what we saw was 'average' for the stage of rut and the stands we were in.
(Saturday morning hunt to 10 AM) Saw all deer within 2 hrs of sunrise
