My bro said it is still dry as a popcorn fart up there. His well-driller friend said it is pretty much dust down almost 6 feet.

Hey Guys,

I live down in South Texas now but grew up in Michigan. I was in the Soo in early July and I couldn't believe how dry. Down here we are having record rains. It's great up there. Hopefully this fall and winter is real wet. I saw that the firefighters are having some problems with bears. By the way 9th Tine, my room mate in college way from Powers. His name is Scott Kleiman. Do you know him? I spent many weekends up there! Great Area.

Jake:
I know the Kleiman's,There are a bunch of them,I'm just trying to place scott. How old is He? It's possible I coached him in a sport when He was younger.
I have coached alot of kids in either,,T-Ball, Baseball,Little Leauge& Minor leauge, Pop-Warner football, or flag football.
As you can see I enjoy coaching.

The last I heard they had the fire 65% contained

Hi 9th Tine,

Scott is about 39 or 40. His Mom and Dad are Herm and Lorraine (I think that was her name). They owned or may still own the Redwood Cafe.

last i heard they were still burning but that the firefighters were starting to win. There was some storms up that way yesterday so that should have helped.

Today they said it was 95% contained,There are still two other fires burning,One is in Mackinaw county and the other one I can't remember what county.

Jake:That would make scott about eight years younger than me,I'm trying to place him but drawing a blank,Does he have a nickname?
