Why is Ohio considered part of the Midwest?
Ohio touches Pennsylvania which is considered part of the East Coast. If There is such a thing called the 'midwest', then there should be something called the 'mideast', and Ohio should be part of it.... What's going on ? If you can't see the Atlantic Ocean, then you're in the midwest?
Why is the Midwest 'east' of the Central Plains? Kansas, Oklahoma, Nebraska, being part of the Central Plains should be East of Ohio, but the last time I checked they weren't. Colorado, Nevada, and its surrounding area should be the Midwest, and then it's the west coast, but calling Ohio part of the Midwest is beyond crazy.
I vote to create a Mideast forum and stick Ohio in it....

RE: Why is Ohio considered part of the Midwest?
Q: If a chicken and a half lays an egg and a half in a day and a half, how long does it take a grasshopper with a wooden leg to eat the seeds out of a dill pickle?
A: Who cares?
Actually, I agree with you. Sounds like a worthy cause. I think you should fund a petition to Congress to make it official. Then Ohio and any other state ie. Tennessee, Kentucky, Ontario (I know...it's officially part of Canada, but maybe they don't want to be a providence anymore. Has anyone asked them lately?)
Or to make things easier, petition the message board to open a forum for every state, or better yet, every county, or wait how about.....
