Its been real quiet around here. I heard a few shots in the first hour on Sat and that was about it. I did manage to shoot a decent 10 point last Thurs. afternoon. If I had to guess, I'd say around 125-130 gross. I'll post some pics as soon as I catch up on my reading. Not much of a story tho, sat a tree for 6 afternoons and shot him from about 10 yrds with my 12 ga. Its just not the same around here.

nub where have you been hunting? The season didn't open here until Sat. the 23. I sure hope you didn't mean that you shot the buck here in Wisconsin.

I shot a 8 point with a 17&quot; spread at 1pm opening day in Oneida county. With the wind so strong I snuck up on him while he was bedded down. Saw a tree swaying back and forth which gave away his locale. He was rubbbing a tree while bedded.
