How many acres

RE: How many acres
A buck's core area can be as small as a weedy fenceline , or several square miles once the rut is on . General average for deer of both sexes is about one square mile . I'm currentlyhunting on ten wooded acres bordered by eighty wooded acres on one side and ten on the other and I have two deer in the freezer and plan to take at least one more .

Well, my two cents.
If the hunting pressure is zero, a buck will be happy on one acre. Apply a little pressure and all bets are off. In my neighborhood, everybody pounds the timbers and the deer wind up in the fencerows and waterways. Size doesn't matter
