Default Minnesota has monster bucks!!

I picked up Awsome Whitetails to drool over some of the monster deer taken from far away places. I looked at the monster on the front and said to myself "Wish I could hunt that monster!!" But, as I read that article, I found out I was closer than I thought to it. They anlters were just sheds, they deer was never killed, but they were found in norther Minnesota!! I almost passed out when I read that! It is a 39 point that would net 319 4/8 and gross 310 5/8. But the kicker is, those measurements are WITHOUT SPREAD CREDIT!!! With the estimated spread, this deer would net 334 0/8!! I didn't know that norther Minnesota had non-typicals...let alone World Records hiding!! They were found in 1990, but I'm sure he passed his genes on a few times while he was alive. This fact will keep me in the stand for an extra 3 or 4 hours now!

Just where abouts in northern Minnesota was it found?

I do know we have some biguns up here I have seen 'em. but as a bowhunter I haven't been able to take 'em.

They didn't say exactly, and they didn't say who found them. They just said Northern MN, and an annoyomus person found them. I hope that he passed his genes on.

I read the same story a little while ago, awesome looking buck, I think it said he found the sheds three years in a row?

I'm not surprised it came from Minnesota; I am however a little surprised at the fact that it came from northern Minnesota...

got some awesome whitetails about 20 minutes for Osprey! Every year we would see big bucks in the fields. Never was smart enough to find them! Last year almost nabbed a nice 8 pointer up by hinckley.

My first 2 years of bowhunting I will never forget a buck HUGE 8 point!!! Even my ole man said it was bigger then anything he had seen before. Dang shame was he missed it!!! I told him this buck had me pegged to come out with me, both of us were bowhuntin of course. That buck would come out into an alfalfa field almost every nite. Well my ole man thought I was joshing and brought my youngest brother. It wasnt long before deer were everywhere....pretty typical for a couple hundred acres and no one but a teenager at the time hunting it. That buck walked out 30 yards from my ole man. He drew back and shot....right underneath! Thats what he gets for not practicing LOL! He has never shot a bow again and after that insidence I never saw that buck again! A few years later I saw 2 huge boys out in one of the fields as I drove the suburban up to a spot I normally dont park at! His genes were passed, someday I will be back to hunt it again! Thats IF they dont build a development on it!!!!

I saw a picture in the Outdoor News, of a
buck taken around Rush City. It listed it's green score at 223 something. I believe it was an 18 pointer. I'm not sure if it was correct or not, because isn't the world record 216 or something. I would think it would have gererated more interest.

I only wish I was hunting, the land isn't ours, and the people who own it wont let me hunt on it, they let me do almost whatever else I want, but no hunting. that's anywhere near the biggest deer I've seen back there either..
