Unfortunately for me, the third weekend of May is almost always out but it can be a great time if we get an early spring with warm temps. Don't expect a repeat of last year, that was a fluke and water temps were 2-3 weeks ahead of where they normally are at that time of year.

I've now talked with the folks at Shelbyville, Carlyle and Rend.
The Billy Davis Memorial Tournament (Sailboat Harbor, Rend Lake) will be April 16-17th
The Carlyle Classic & Youth Bowfishing Championship (Carlyle Lake) will be April 30th.
The Illinois Bowfishers State Championship (Wolf Creek, Lake Shelbyville) will be June 4th-5th.
Mark your calendars.
