Default Hunting Buddy Needed - Shelbyville

Deer season is almost upon us! I hunt Lake Shelbyville for a long weekend in October and then for 5 days in November. I've shot a deer every year for the last four years. If you are interested in going, just send me a PM.

Good luck everyone!

Hey Judd, do you bowhunt, or just hunt the firearms seasons?

Sounds like a good time. There are plenty of deer down there and some places that don't get much pressure.

Do you camp or stay at a motel? 'course we could crash at Matt's place. Heh heh. J/K Matt.

I stay at the Lithia Resort at the southern part of the lake;accordingto the owner, I was the only one bowhunting in that area last year.

I'll postthe dates that I'll bebowhunting in the next day or two.

That sure sounds nice compared to the public hunting grounds I'm used to.

Hello Everyone,

I will be heading to Shelbyville for 5-day hunt commencing 11/2. I would sure like to have some company; you don't have to stay the entire 5 days but if you can make 2 or 3 days that would be great.

Judd

OK Judd, You talked me into it.
I have to see if I can get off of work Friday, and we'll talk specifics by phone. This should be fun.

Hey Tim!
I don't know the area and don't know how far away we'll be, so I'll leave that up to Judd, but it sounds good to me. I just finished roasting marshmallows in the back yard with my daughter, and I could use some more of sitting around a campfire.

Oh, and if any of you other Northern guys want to go for the weekend and carpool, I'll be going down Friday (daytime), and coming back Sunday after a morning hunt.
