RE: 2nd Annual IL Bowfishing Championship Awards
I think the divisions are 1-3 person boat teams and then a wading division.
What other divisions do you think we need. Tall, thin guys from north of I-80 division?

RE: 2nd Annual IL Bowfishing Championship Awards
The reason I ask is that I like to tinker with custom knife handles. This is a photo of one I made for the UBI banquet last year, minus the burgundy leather sheath. It's a nice Helle stainless blade with a handle made of the following: antler from a buck killed in Kendall county, osage from a tree harvested in LaSalle County, and the black spacers are rawhide from a whitetail killed in Wisconsin.
I'd be willing to make and donatea couple similar knives (with leather sheaths, of course) as awards for the State Championship. They'll also be antler handles with whitetail rawhide spacers, but the wood may or may not be osage. I've got a bunch of small scraps--cocobolo, bacote, bubinga, rosewood, purpleheart, bloodwood, etc.--left over from various recurves.
Let me know if you're interested, how many you'd like and what awards they'll be for. I'll put the appropriate script on the handles so the winners will walk away with a "trophy" they can actually use.
The blades are just under 3" long. With the handle they're between six to seven inches in total length. I made onethree years ago that I've used on everything from squirrels to elk, so they're pretty versitile. And yes, I suppose you could cut up a fish or two with them if you'd like.
