Looking for a hunt for 2015
Hello everyone, I hope this is the correct area to post my question. If not please point me in the correct direction.
Anyhow, I am currently researching for a white tail or mule deer hunt in either Texas or Oklahoma for 2015. I am new to the idea of going on a
" hunt ". I have always hunted in I guess what can be called the " traditional" way... At the camp, on property here at home we own, with friends, etc. Never gone through the " outfitter " type hunt. So I'm a rookie at the entire idea of hiring a outfitter. I am not looking to kill a trophy, just kill a nice buck make some memories with my family, and if affordable enough do it every other year or so. I'm looking to spend about $2500 ( is this a realistic price?) on the hunt, no including licesne travel etc.
Thanks.

I have some incredible hunts available in Colorado and western Nebraska for mule deer and whitetail deer. I am absolutely confident I can find you a great hunt in your price range. If interested, give me a call anytime.

Dont just talk to the outfitter, ask him for at least 5 references of hunters who had success and ask for another 5 references of hunters who did not have success.
You didnt tell us, What weapon or season are you wanting to hunt? I sure wouldnt limit myself to just TX or OK.
I think you need to decide which species you want, CO, KS, NE, SD, as well as other states have Mule deer, some with over the counter tags, some areas are a draw.
Good Luck
