I got a call the other day from a local rancher whom had a calf killed and partly eaten by a cougar. I didn't have client in camp at the time, so I took my friend out to chase down the cat. We killed it in fairly short order, but also saw 2 other fresh cougar tracks within a 1sq. mile area, so I have a feeliong the problem hasn't been solved...
