I booked again with Ohio River Valley Outfitters
Their property is truly a hunters wonderland. I couldn't stop thinking about the spacious tree stands, big buck territory and extremely friendly folks. I found their hunt on eBay under OHIO DEER HUNT FOR 3 DAYS. Just thought i might help some people who are struggling to find a good outfitters.

Due to a horrible hunt (spring turkey) there this week, I cannot reccommend or refer anyone to this outfitter. My third trip there, and things are not as they were before. Due to lack of due diligence and attention to details regarding lands they use, I was painfully close to an altercation or being arrested thru no fault of my own. I won't be back there ever again- mj

Ohio river valley outfitters
I am the owner of this outfitters. I can't believe what Mike Joyner is trying to do here. Mike has taken a turkey on his last 3 trips with us at rock bottom prices and to do this to us is crazy. If you want to know the truth about this situation i will tell it. Mike called me last minute to hunt. I told him i was booked but i have some land that we haven't used in a while so i couldn't guarantee a good hunt. Mike showed up and my father and i personally showed him the first track of land. He heard gobbles but couldn't land any. He calls me after only a couple housrs into his hunt so i told him to meet me at the general store in 40 mins, he said he wouldn't make it off the track of land in that amount of time so i said call me when you get down. Next thing i know he is at a property that he used to hunt with us. Apparently he parked in the same location as he did years ago, which is through the mans yard into a field. A man who is only renting a house on the property came out and said to park in the turn around and go hunt. Mike did not like that idea of a renter telling him where to park. Sorry Mike outfitters have to work with the tenants also. Mike didn't like hearing that and got into an argument with the tenant. He called me and put me on speaker. I heard the tenant saying park here and its ok. Mike couldn't stand that, i heard mike calling him white trash in the background. Bottom line is Mike's hunt didn't go the way he wants and now he is trying to slander and sue over a parking spot. WOW Mike, really, after all these good years.

Andy has a lot of detailed description of a situation he was not witness to, making assumptions/accusations that are factually incorrect. The hunt was in fact a last minute deal. First place had birds sometimes on it, but not on the property or close to it that day (on another ridge far from it). Neither here or there. At times I am sure they are. There is no dispute about quality of properties, and no clue why he is going there with that. I had hunted with his service twice before, not three times as claimed. No problems with those hunts. This hunt was a nightmare. I cannot go into details because of pending litigation. I can tell you that his account of it here, is not factual which is curious as he did not show up or was able to (had no vehicle as he put it). I can also tell you that it it was bad enough that I left even though I had 3 more days open in my schedule. I am forced to use the BBB and legal means to try and recoup my $$. The dialog has been very unpleasant/personal, and not something to be repeated here.
