Self-guided Mule Deer / Antelope Hunts
Self-Guided Hunt
In eastern Wyoming Mule Deer are concealed in the broken land. During hunting season they use the drainages and ditches as day-time bedding areas to escape the heat, even though the ground maybe covered with snow in the morning, highs frequently reach 80 degrees by the afternoon. I have located public land that has good populations of Mule Deer that are concentrated in this broken terrain. These self-guided hunts are in an area where three creeks converge which creates some of the best hunting habitat that can be found. Those who prefer hunting out of a blind can take mule deer or antelope that daily use the creek as a watering hole. For those who like the spot and stalk method, buttes in the area provide vantage points to spot herds where you can plan your stalk.
In the immediate hunting area is over 20,000 acres of accessible land which includes BLM, State Trust Lands, and private walk-in areas.
I provide a scouting service for the self-guided hunter. It normally takes two or three hunting trips to pattern the game and to start harvesting trophy animals. To increase your odds I will provide two days of scouting which includes a pre-hunt scouting report and then when your hunt starts I will scout nearby locations to double your odds of success. For less than the price of an annual hunting lease you will have access to thousands of acres of public land in Wyoming for seasons to come.
I still have four spots available for 10/1 to 10/2.
Here is video of Mule Deer we have located the last two years:

We put a stalk on these four when they dropped into a drainage. We had closed the gap to about 200 yards when they spooked and they moved on to private land.
Here is another video of my son stalking a small buck within 5 yards. The buck watches me as I shoot the video.
