Hunt Northern NM!!
I am booking hunts for 2011 now. Only got a few spots available. I do private land and public land special draw hunts. I can get you into those trophy hunts for monster bulls you have been dreaming about! So if you are up for the thrill of hunting bugling bulls with your bow at an affordable price get in touch with me! Hunts starting at $3,000.00 for public land draw.
Both of these bulls taken on public land!
Sorry I don't have a website up at this time. But I can give references upon request. State registered and Insured Outfitter.

Then WHY aren't any of those Bulls pictured, instead of obviously young immature Bulls ?!? Just curious ?!? It seems that there are more and more "guides" and "Outfitter" shams every season lookin to take hunters hard earned money!

Far as I know..outfitters have certain areas that they are permitted out to hunt interms of public land. Kinda like "your own area that you can only guide on". Now referring to the public land you talked about; it isn't just a place you like to hunt and you feel like charging people to take hunting with you is it? Because by law if your outfitting on public land, dont you have to have permit to do that? and only a certain area that your permitted to take hunters? Insurance? Not trying to burst anyones bubble but If i were to take outfitter to kill a elk and pay that money I'd rather have the security of being legal and being covered for say if something happened? Nice elk though. Anyways I hunt in Souther Colorado, where you can buy over the counter bow tags nonresident and also this place has monster bulls too. Reason its not hunted by alot of people because they dont want to go up in the high country. Just feels great working your butt off for a trophy like an elk. Goodluck

Thanks for the replys! I hunt the Chama area about 3 hours north of Albuquerque. I am a licensed and registered outfitter with the state of NM and I am insured. I have private leased ranches but my offer was more in the direction of the public draw license witch I can offer a little cheaper than the private land tag. In NM a certain percentage of tags are allotted every year to non resident hunters using a state registered outfitter. What that means is hunters have about a 90% better chance of getting to hunt special draw areas that they might never draw other wise. The bulls pictured were trophies to the hunters who took them and trophies in my book. They were taken on public land fair chase wilderness hunts. I was simply placing an offer on the table for bowhunters that is much more affordable than any hunt you will find in NM sorry if I affended some of you. I have plenty of references I can give upon request. God Bless.
Happy Hunting!

Do the special draws system have a point system. I have buddy that hunts in New Mexico and it took him 5 years to draw a tag. I'm not sure if its "special spot". Private land do you still have to draw? Or how exactly does that work? Thanks for the reply

As far as a point system we don't have one yet here in NM. It is just luck of the draw. About 75% of tags go to resident hunters, 5% to nonresident hunters and 20% to nonresident hunters using a state registered guide. Those numbers are about as close as I can remember but not exact. Private landowners whose property holds and supports elk are allotted a certain number of tags each year depending on the number of elk they support. I have land owner tags available every year. A hunter could hunt every year if he wanted to go the private land route. I grew up hunting CO and let me tell you NM is great to hunt elk. It can be a little tough to draw but you don't ever have to worry about the crowds of hunters. Here in Chama we have one of the largest elk herds in the US. We don't have the freakish monsters of the Jilla and Arizona but we have lots of elk and a great bull-cow ratio which makes for an awesome rut! Thanks for all the inquiries and god bless!
