Annual West Texas Hunting Lease
The property is roughly 2300 acres and is located between Sonora and Ozona. It has steaphills, canyons, thick cedar, and scattered oak. It is very beautiful and rough country. Whitetail deer, limited hogs, turkey and doveforapplicable season. There are some exotics, but they are not included this year. As the owner wants to let their population build.I know there is at least onecabin available on the property or hotels about 30 miles away.
The property is comprised of two pastures with the smaller being less than 600 acres. He wants two guns onthe smaller tractand 6 in the other pasture. So either a group of 2, 6, or 8 hunters in the party. The price is $1,500 per gun, which is cheaper than most in the area.
I am posting this as a favor to the land owner. It is a long story, but I was between leases for a short time, and considered this property for my own purposes. I have spent the best part of two days scouting the smaller pasture and almost took it. I did not, because I had the opportunityto get on anotherplace that suited my needs a little better. I did like it, but I especially liked the land owners. I would say that after several telephone conversations and a couple of visits to their ranch, I developed an appreciation for them. They appear to begood people, thatlike-minded hunters can form a long partnership with. This fact impressed me the most. I do not want to listtheir telephone number to the public, but you can email me for it. I will be glad to answer what questionsI can. [email protected]
