Hunt NW Missouri - Turkey and Whitetails
Hi guys - was just reading through allot of posts about outfitters - some not too far from us. Its a tough guess booking a hunt - I know allot of booking agents who swear they'll never book another whitetail hunt. No matter how great the outfitter, those whitetails are wiley and if you want those 150's - THEY (yea, the deer)are incontrol regardless of how much you pay!
We are NOT outfitters or guides - we offer a few hunts each year. They are top quality - semi-guided hunts - one guy will show you around the day before - we generally stay off our properties and have close to 1300 acres - getting more each year.
Benefitsof booking a hunt with us are no one will have been on the properties the week before you hunt - you can see when the pay hunts are (we only do 3 or 4a year)and other than our two owners and two guides (we all take turns guiding the few hunts)- the farms are not hunted. Further - we generally book about 1 guy for every 200 acres of property.
With MO proposing to change the seasons around for 09 - we are preping some of our farms for bow only - this means some will not get hunted this year (comercially) and others will become bow only farms in 08 so they have 2-years of no gun by late season 09. I can't see how you can do better.
So if you like doing things right, don't need your hand held and enjoy a club-like atmosphere as well as wanting to save a few dollars, check us out. We don't do trades, we don't want advertising, so you industry guys don't hollar - we're not looking for exposure.
Further - NO ONE has more trail cameras out than we do (I don't care how bigan outfit they are)- about 1 camera for every 15 acres (I"ll let you do the math). Digitals are great - but I kid you not - I have around 100 Gigs of photos each year.
The turkey hunting is outstanding - we filled 4 out of 5 tags the last weekend of the season last year during that aweful 100-year storm that hit our area - so if you have decent whether - it should be a breeze!
Hope to hear from you!
Tom
