December New Mexico Rifle Elk Hunt!
Put your tag on a trophy 300+ class "Trophy Bull Elk" this year. The outfitter hunts over 82,000 acres of private land that has been trophy managed for bull elk. This is one of the top trophy New Mexico elk hunts as many Outdoor Connection customers have found out. The outfitter has received 3 more tags for a hunt during the December 1-5, 2007 time frame. These hunts will sell fast!
Here is a little more of what to expect on the hunt.
This is an excellent opportunity to catch bachelor herds dealing with the elements of survival during the cold New Mexico winter. Elk will be found in group herds with the largest constituting cow and calf groups. Bachelor herds will be close by as the herds concentrate their feeding in the over 7,000 acres of crested wheat fields developed by the ranch. You can expect an excellent opportunity to harvest a 300+ bull during this winter season hunt.
The ranch has developed an excellent big game management plan with emphasis in improvement of habitat. Crested wheat is a staple winter graze for elk and has assured the herds winter within ranch boundaries. This 5-day trophy elk hunt includes 1x1 guide, lodging, meals, meat and trophy care, transportation during the hunt, airport pick-up and delivery from Alamosa Colorado and landowner tag.
The cost of the non-resident license ($541) and 7% sales tax are an addition. Meat processing and taxidermy are additional costs and can be arranged.
Hunt price $5,500 per person
