Best hunts do it yourself hunt in Pike county
Hey guys,
I haven't been visiting much in a while, I know of the old timers know me but for your new guys I have been a member for about 5 years and I just wanted to share with you guys what I think is the best and most affordable hunt in Pike Co. The place is Monster Whitetail Huntclub and they have properties in both Pike and Adams counties. These are do it yourself hunts. They show you the property and it is exclusively yours to hunt the way you want to hunt it. They strive to give groups or individual hunters at least 100 acres per man to hunt. I have hunted all over Pike Co. and these are the best properties and the best people that I have ever hunted on or with. Tom and Pam Hill run the outfitting service and they have just picked up two phenomenal properties. One of these properties in on the Dutch Creek loop and for those of you that know Pike Co. you know that it gets no better than this. The hunts cost $850 for seven days not five like most outfitters and you will hunting properties in the same areas if not adjoing properties the big outfitters are charging $2000-$3500 to hunt. Myself and a friend went last year and both killed bucksand they were a 142 and 154 respectively and on that particular farm they had about a 75% kill ratio with 7 bucks going over 140. I am not affilitated with them just a big fan and have gotten close to Tom since my hunt last year and I wanted to pass this on to you guys because I believe in them and their properties and I know there are a lot of good folks on this site that are looking for a quality hunt with a reputable outfitter that is affordable.PM me if you have any questions or call Tom or Pam at 217-242-5256.

Thanks for the info., I am booked for this Nov.(my 3rd time)but may be looking for next year....it doesn't get any better than Pike/Brown Illinois!! p.s. some places won't book a single, so if you have any ideas on how to link up fellow archery addicts, please come up with idea....

Tom will take singles but this forum should be a great place for guys to hook up and get together for a hunt. If not the outfitter may be able to put a couple of guys in touch with each other to form a group.
For you guys that were thinking about going but didn't make up your mind it's still not too late. There will be 1500 tags available in late August for you guys that may still be interested in a hunt this year. The best part is thatthis hunt is so affordable that you still have time to get the money together for this hunt without breaking yourself or the bank. We just got back last night from scouting his newest property and it was awesome. We saw about 80 deer in one field on that property and about 120 in a field about 1/4 of a mile away. We saw over 300 in a 2 mile stretch surrounding that property with 5 or 6 bucks that will already score 150 or better and 10-15 that would go in the 140's and 25-30 that would score 125-130. In that area we saw probably 125 bucks in all. I have been there and taken that loop several times but I was even kind of amazed at the number of deer that we saw yesterday afternoon. We scouted one last field right at dark saw around 100 deer in it as well making the total for the day somewhere over 400. The guys I took with me have thought I have been blowing smoke about all the deer I see when I go up there all along until yesterday. We took the video camera along and got some really good video to bring back for the guys in our group that weren't able to go up with us.
