We have an overabundance of rifle tags this year and therefore are offering this hunt at a price of $775 off our regular rate ($2500). We are a family operation and typically only take 7 or 8 hunters a year. Most of these hunters have been hunting with us for years, and most are bow or muzzleloader hunters. You will have 100% opportunity on a 140" plus buck, and a near 100% opportunity on a 150-200" buck. On a 5 day hunt, you will likely see a 140" class or bigger buck on at least 3 of the 5 days. This is a semi-guided hunt and we will only take 3 or 4 hunters on this Rifle hunt. You can hunt either the first week or the second week in December. Our rifle hunts usually coincide with the latter part of the rut.

We MAY take one additional muzzleloader hunter if there is a die-hard hunter that is bent on taking a Trophy Whitetail with a smokepole.

Our hunt takes place in Ottawa County. We have 6400 acres of Prime Whitetail country. Our land consists of over 4 miles of timbered creek bottoms running through agricultural fields, with several secondary creek junctions. I have owned and hunted this land for over 40 years and can put you in the right spot.

Lodging and meals included in the price of this guided hunt. Tags are not included, but I am providing those AT COST ($321). Most oufitters charge MUCH more, even into the $1000s for tags. The lodge is one of those big ol’ wonderful houses built back in the 1920's – a time when houses were solid, sturdy, and functional (and not made of plastic and particle board). Our lodge features a big kitchen and eating area, a big family room with satellite tv, a bigger living room equipped with a very nice poker table, several bedrooms, more bedrooms upstairs, a mud room, washer and dryer, a bathroom (with shower), an outdoor grill to cook on and a Jacuzzi on the "taken in" front porch.
