Leupold flip open covers any info
I was wondering if anyone was using the new Leupold flip open scope covers. I called "Leupold" and they told me the covers only fit 2004 and newer model scopes. I just wanted to see if there were any comparisons between them and the "Butler Creek" flip open covers. I have a VX-III 2.5-8x36, I'm looking to put some brand of scope cover on it. Thanks!

Never seeing the Leupold Covers you mentioned, I can't say for sure. There can't be much difference between the Loopy and BC's. I've used BC's for a long time and never had a problem with them. The only difference I can see would probably be the price paying for the Leupold name. The last BC's I bought a month ago were 7.49.A bargain at twice the price.

Pace I checked them out at a local gun shop. At a price of $30. for each front and rear I can not justify the cost over the plastic models. The Butler Creek models will help protect the scope edges the Leupold's screw into the scope and offer little protection against damage is bumped. Quality yes, value?
