Didn't work to well turkey hunting, you get a ton of echo in your ear when you call. It would work well for deer or other animals you weren't trying to call in or if your partner called for you.

I bought one and the only thing I could hear was big trucks going up and down the interstate which was 7 miles a way. I felt like I had a treestand in the middle of the interstate.

I have one thats about the size of a back of cigs. The microphone is covered with foam so I don't get alot of wind noise. I made an elastic "pocket" for it on my boonie, run the head phone wire down the back and only use one of the two ear pieces. Wow I can hear the wing beats of the waterfowl as they fly over my archery stand BUT with both ear pieces in my ears I can't tell what direction the deer/squirrel is coming from. The problem is somewhat better with just one ear piece. It seemed that sometimes Scotty just beams those deer in front of me, never heard them coming. Not now I may not know exactly where they are coming from but I do HEAR em.
