Brampton Mike,
This is a great website, I enjoy posting questions, love the responses, and will continue to do so, in fact these folks are great sources of information, I respect what they have to say, even your posts, but don't like getting into debates over frivolous arguments, have a great day my friend.

My Daughter and Son in law gave me a paintball gun for Xmas last year that I've found makes a great tree/path marker . The paint washes off eventually and does no damage to the tree .
It always bugged me when I'd see bark knocked off trees , they should outlaw machetes in the woods ! Just kidding Mykey !

good idea with the paintball gun, makes marking a trail fun,,,, I think its a little unecessary to mark a trail at all, we have an outfitting service in our that marks stands for its clients and its kinda funny because some of the stands are no more than 10-15 in the tree line.

try bright eyes and stick them high enough on a tree that the snow wont cover them. there is also a lite that cabelas sell that u can attach 2 ur tree and point n ne direction. it uses a remote 2 turn on from likr 100ft away. would be nice 2 be able 2 see the clip when trying 2 get my bow hooked up to the string
