As I recall, mine weighs over 800 lbs empty (and I think that is with the 250 lb door removed). Two big guys, myself and another medium size guy couldn't get it into my basement with an industrial dolly by hand. My truck, the dolly and a tow strap made the job a lot easier and there is NO WAY it is coming back up the stairs without a similar method. If a thief got it this far, he'd then have a heck of a time getting it into the back of his truck [

FYI, the sales rep I bought my safe from said most burglars who encounter a heavy safe break in through the side - not the door.
