I went shopping at Cabelas for new rubber hunting boots and was amazed and disappointed at the overpriced garbage. It was only a few years ago that $70 bought a nice pair of 400 gram knee highs. The boots in stock started at $130 and were largely uninsulated and very cheaply made. I ended up spending $80 at Sportsman's Guide and got 800 gram Guide Gear boots with Mossy Oak camo. Cabelas can keep their crap after my latest trip.

In fact, most of Cabela's footwear is overpriced garbage. I've purchased a few different pairs of their own brand which certainly look like workboots and are priced like workboots, they just don't last like workboots.

Luckily, they do have good customer service for processing returns.

I am of the opinion that Cabela, or somebody, needs to simply say no to made in China and put America back to work making something!

we just got a new Cabelas here in Acworth GA and they are building another further up 75 just south of nooga.. I have been in the new one once and like you was disappointed at the high prices, the BPS over off Sugarloaf Parkway is cheaper..
either way I do most of my shopping online, I know you can't touch before you buy but I will take the trade off in cheaper prices..

I think if BPS, Gander mt and cabelas would spend less on the decor the prices would be much cheaper..
