Just wanted to see if anyone here has happened to mount a zeiss conquest 3.5-10x44 on a Browning BAR Safari? My gun is actually the new white gold medallion version of the BAR but i hear they are virtually identical to the safari models. Anyway, my question is if using leupold rings and bases, what height rings will i need to mount the scope safetly as close to the barrel as possible. I have not purchased the base or rings so if anyone has experience with this setup with brands other than leupold feel free to chime in. Also, what does everyone prefer..... One piece or two piece base? Money isnt a factory cause i figure ive spent the money on glass and rifle, i might as well spend the money on high quality base and rings. Any info is much appreciated.
