Look at the Nikon Travelite. You can get a pair of 8x25 at Cabelas for $100....cheaper if you shop around on the internet. Think I paid around $85 for a pair for my wife. More powerful versions are slightly more expensive ($120-$130). Are there better binocs out there? Of course, but you will be amazed at the quality of these Travelites. Now I am thinking about buying a pair myself for hunting. They are lightweight and have good, bright optics. Look at the reviews by people posted on the Cabelas website.
