Hunters Need Good Binoculars
Hi Everyone,
With the many models of hunting binoculars available it can be a daunting task deciding on what pair would be the best to buy.
Here is some of the tips which I recommend you look at before buying:
Lens size.Amorning or dusk hunter will generally need larger lens sizes as this will allow more light to be transmitted to your eyes giving a better view of your prey. Although you can find binoculars with large lens sizes at an affordable price in general the larger the lens the higher the price.
Anti-reflective features. To protect your hunting binoculars from the sun and glare buy binoculars with anti-reflective properties that negate the suns rays. A good pair that has these properties is the Nikon Monarch 8 x 42 binoculars.
Magnification. If the prey you are hunting will be reasonably close an expensive x12 magnification pair of hunting binoculars won’t generally be necessary. In general most hunters find that an x8 or x10 magnification for hunting binoculars meets their needs.
Waterproofing. If you intend to hunt in foggy conditions or in a wet environment it is important to consider buying hunting binoculars that have a fog or waterproof feature. Ensure the label on the model you are buying indicates they are waterproof as this feature will protect them from water damage.
Weight. Carrying a heavy pair of hunting binoculars all day during a hunting expedition with a backpack and other equipment can slow you down. It would help to find a compact lightweight pair you will feel comfortable holding for lengthy periods.
Sturdy. Hunting in rough environments can mean your hunting binoculars can be dropped or knocked accidentally. It is important therefore to ensure that the binoculars you acquire are shockproof protected with rubber armor and thick lens.
