Hunting blind repair

RE: Hunting blind repair
I have a Double Bull Blind that the poles began to poke through the bottom where the material comes in contact with the ground (that surprised me since it was a Double Bull). They of course said to send it back and they would repair it, but the shipping was quite high. I ended up taking it to a local place that makes awnings. They also make custom boat/pontoon seat covers. They repaired it with a material I doubt could ever be penetrated by the poles. Cost me $35 bucks to reinforce all the corners...a steal in my opinion.

I patched a friend's Doghouse blind one time with black tape that I got at a place that sells the black plasticdrainage tile. It is used to join sections of the drainage tile. It reminds me of electrical tape except it's wider (about 2")and much stickier. I put a piece on the outside and a matching piece on the inside of the blind and it has held up for several years now.

You should be able to go to anyplace that sells camping gear and get a tent repair kit. Most kits contain needle and thread as well as a fairly sticky tape to waterproof the repair. The kits at Wal-Mart are cheap and not fit to buy.
