Default RE: Lawsuit Filed Againgt Scent-Lok

These posts make me laugh. ONCE AGAIN. Last Sunday, I shot a deer that came FROM DOWN WIND of me. Actually 4 of them came from down wind. I was sitting ON THE GROUND. The 8 point buck was chasing a doe, I shot the buck, the does little ones almost ran me over and they TRIED TO WIND ME from 10' away. They were directly downwind. All the deer came from downwind.

I practice good scent control. My clothes are clean, my body is washed with scent free soap, I use the spray, I am covered from head to toe in scent lock and rubber boots and I have killed plenty of deer that came from down wind. I keep my clothes in a container plastic container until I am ready to use them.

The fact is, if you don't do it correctly, it isn't going to work. If you wear your clothes in your truck, stop and pump gas, stop at McDonalds and grab some cheeseburgers, and smoke a cigarette before you go out in the woods, it WILL NOT WORK. The deer will bust you from all of the OTHER odors on your clothes. If your coming from your shop job and throw scent lock OVER your shop clothes, it probably won't work.

I'm positive that most people who have not had luck using scent lock products have used them incorrectly, because it really is a pain in the arse to do it correctly.

I don't remember the last time I got busted from a deer who winded me.
