deer senses candles ??

deer senses candles ??
Have any of you guys ever used these? if so what do you think? are they any good? if not what do you guys suggest for scent? thanks a lot

I posted a simular question on a couple of boards and found that some people had luck with them. I've also read a couple articals about them which claim they work great. Of course the deer have to be there for any scent to work. I just ordered some from Cabelas. Our rifle season starts next week here in Vt. and I figured I'd give them a try.

I haven't tried the candles but it could be a god thing. Should an open flame be of concern? Along the same line but without the open flame how about the Deer Sense sticks? They smoke like insense sticks but without the flame. Hunters have been known to smell them as much as a half a mile away. It's an oil based smoke so it sticks to everything it touches. Like anything else, deer have to be in the area. Good luck.
