RE: springfield armory scopes
These are good scopes. Made by Hakko in japan Hakko also used to make the higher end millet scopes and they make some other manufacturer's scopes. All of the S. A. scopes I have checked out have been fully multicoated and waterproof. Initially I only saw fixedpower 6 and 10 x's. And I think they were made with the .308 in mind. Makes sense as the M1a is 308. But lately I have saeen some nice variables by S. A. One of them was even a 3-9x40 so they are thinking of competeing in the American hunting market
But I wasn't overly impressed over other scopes in the price range. The mid priced range is pretty crowded now and most of htem are pretty impressive. But like I said it is a good scope. Look through it and check it in comparison with other scopes and see how it holds up tp Burris Signature, Leupold VX2 and VX3, Bushnell 4200, Meopta etc.
