Beachbumintx, I built this tower stand in 2005 and it worked very well. It's made of 4x4 treated post for the tower with 1x2's for the lateral braces. The box is made out of 1/2 inch plywood cut 42 inches wide by 7 foot front and 6 foot back panelsand screwed to 2x2's (ripped 2x4's) untreated. Thethreesides are screwed together and then the top set on and then the front is screwed and finally the top is screwed down. Plywood roof with tin on top. Cut out window openings and hinged with deer hide. Around $250 for all the materals you see here. One heck of a stand and very warm in the winter. I have added 3/16th steel guy wire to three sides and staked to the ground just to be sure and withstand the summer thunder storms and wind. You wouldn't want this stand to blow over. LOL. Hope this helps.
