Im sure the Prostaffs arent horrible but I dont think they are a 1 piece scope, they dont have full multicoated lenses and just arent as bright as the Buckmasters or any of the 3200s.

Agree with okcmco, Sightron S11 3-9. A real sleeper. I think it's made in Japan and on a par with mid Nikon's. Very good service oriented young (like 10 years old) company.

I havent looked threw a Sightron but alot of other Optic\hunting Forums are very high on them for a good priced scope. Also the Weaver Grand Slams are very underated and priced awesome for the glass they have. Too bad they are so ugly. IMO.

Leupold or Burris can't be beat in my humble opinion. Burris has excellent Warranty coverage, they made the one problem I ever had right with a turn around time of about a week. Sometimes you get what you pay for!

Sometimes you pay way to much for a name and not the quality of the glass also.

Yes, Weaver Grand Slam is not half bad but I just don't personally care for them. Lets face facts, there are alot of good scopes out there now. It basically boils down to personal likes and dislikes and your budget. I just dropped a bunch ( $799 but I had a $200 credit to soften the blow!!!) on a Kahles CL 3-9X42. It's a wonderful piece and better than their old AH 1 " models. I like it better than a Ziess Conquest. Probably on a par with the upper end Ziess models.Whatever lifts your skirt! Toys, I need more toys!!!

Amen DHA! Although some have heard and been told by buddies that they and many other things suck and take it for gospel with no firsthand knowledge
