Default Danner Pronghorns

I am thinking about picking up a pair of Danner Pronghorns. I will be using these boots from early to late season for Field hunting pheasant, to deer hunting with bow, blackpowder and rifle. I am trying to decide if I should get the 400 or 1000 gram Thinsulate

I just got a pair of Danner 'Foothills' uninsulated from Cabela's. Its the same boot as the 'Grouse' with a harder vibram sole.
They have a full gortex booty and are fully lined.
Even though they are 'uninsulated', I believe they will do real well for three+ seasons and even not so cold winter days.
I'll give a later report, but I think they are gonna be the best boots I've owned and I've tried a bunch of 'em.
There is a fine line to balance between, sweat-dampened feet trying to ventilate and a whole bunch of insulation--enough that damp or not they'll be warm.
I prefer to find that less-bulky and lighter boot that does the balancing act.
I hope that made sense.
Real picky about my boots.

I have the Danner Pronghorn 400's and I love them They are just right...I use to have the old 800 gram Pronghorns and my feet got colder with them than the 400 because they were to warm and walkin in and out my feet would sweat to much and once sitting would get cold...
