Early Season Hunting Boots
I've got a really nice pair of LaCrosse "high top" hunting boots with 1000 gr of Thinsulate w/ Gore-tex, etc. I really like them, they are broke in, they are great to hike in and handle the cold just fine with a nice pair of wool socks. They are just a little much in late August/September.
Now, I'm looking for a quality pair of early season hiking/hunting boots. I hunt Elk/Deer and have been doing alot of research, but hoping to get some ofyour opinions. I hike about 2-5 miles a day. I have wide feet, so comfort is very key!
Requirements: Light, 5-7" high, Gore-tex, uninsulated or very light (<=200 grams) and <= $100

Klondike II GTX is made by a company that specializes in quality footwear called Lowa...They are going to be a little more than your $100.00 asking price but well worth the extra change if you hike as many miles as you say. Almost no "break-in" period for these beauties.
