Pork Chops On The Hoof:
There are at least 11 different large hogs coming to this feeder nearly every night in twos and threes. One will get greedy and go into the trap-soon, i hope. If not i'll camp there and bust one or two hogs the old fashioned way.

We put a hog light up seveal months ago by one of the feeders; but we've never hunted it since we didn't want to shoot a night while it was deer season. We'll have to give that a try pretty soon. I've just been super busy with custom knife orders I've been working 14 hours a day seven days a week.
This retirement stuff isn't as easy as it was supposed to be.

The problem with trail cams
You really learn whose eating that feed at a feeder, that you had to haul .
I saw one land owner who puts out a lot of feed on his land, and sets traps nearby to attract an assortment of game not eaten by most humans. But they do eat turkeys and deer, cutting down on the hunted population.

Hey, Marine: Good to see you back on the forum.
i'm trying too. Those hogs have been strictly nocturnal for several months. We have caught over 50 hogs in that trap since September. Those hogs are also very trap shy.
First warm night i'm going to put a motion detector light on the feeder and sit on a lawn chair in the back of my pickup about 50 yards away.
Time to draw those porkers out during the day.
