Default Nor cal pigs?

I am gonna be up in the San Jose area for work in the next few months and I was curious about the pig situation up there. I am currently in Phoenix, AZ so can't just go and scout right now. Also I have a big mutt dog that I think would be an awesome catch dog and would like some tips\help on how to get him into it.

Well he is a mutt, I found his mother on the streets and only found out she was pregnant after I had her for awhile. He looks like a Pit/Shepard/hound mix
