There is no disputing whether or not that is a Russian boar !! Great Pics Sasha. Thank you for sharing them. Are the dogs only for tracking or do they 'bay' the hogs as well? They look like a Beagle (butBeagles are much smaller ?)or similar hound.

Is that a Sako rifle? What caliber do you use for them? I,m going hunting to Germany in january and i thought taking my sako 75 graywolf 9,3x62 with me. I use Norma oryx 285grain cartridges V0=2428fps. I think that is a good stopper when a 660lbs boar is charging.....

You are right. It is sako 75 in calibre 375 H&H and (big surprise) the bullet Norma oryx.
I think it is superfluous for similar hunting a little bit
Now I charge cartridges itself.using reddingreloding dis/ I use bullets of the combined technology 300 gr. Nosler/winchester/The Finnish powder vih.160. Already this bullet do not make. I still had old stocks. My friend loves barns-X/ There is a manufacture russian bullets, but we dislike them.
I do not have another rifle for such hunting. Only four rifles including this. I take a great interest in high-precision shooting at me 6.5х284 kelbly, 22-250 sako varmint, blaiser 6.5h284/ Only one free licence remained. In Russia it is authorised no more than five rifles and five guns on one person. I think that to buy type 300 wsm. Your opinion is it a good choice?
Your calibre 9,3x62 is very popular in Russia today
I think thisthe best calibreon such hunting.

Photo with dogs it is made in Turkey during my hunting with friends. They are usual rural dogs, I think a hybrid of breeds.
Turks are muslimsand do not use a wild boar in a food. They are not able hunts on wild boars. Their dogs simply ran. Hunting not the successful. It occurred in 400 kilometres from Istanbul on the east. Place Orhanely. Hunting with Beagles in Russia practises. Very beautiful hunting, any kinds, I love hunts with dogs. But a bowl dogs of husky are used.
