Default simple question

This may be a dumb question but is gutting a hog the same as gutting a deer?

Simple answer. Yes! But I don't always field dress a hog, I simply take out the loin, hams and butt leave the rest for the buzzards or other hogs. Easy, and no fuss.

If they are under 60 pounds, I do like to cook them whole in a ground pit, then I field dress them.

They do look good wearing a short mini skirt, garter belt and stockings[8D]

But other than that I dress them out the same as Bob ( The Rev)

I'm with Rev on this one. Take the straps and loins, hams if they have any. Leave them lay. If you're lucky you'll catch the rest of the hogs or coyotes on the remains and can pick them off.
