Default Ones That got away

How about everyone telling the story of their firearm they traded/sold and wished they had it back now. My "one that got away" was a Winchester Featherweight XTR in 280 Remington. I traded it for a Winchester Big Bore in 375 Win that I just had to have. I still miss that 280 on opening morning.

Swampman, I wished I could buy back a Rem 1100 .410 and a Win Oct. Barrel .32-20
that I use to have. The Rem .410 I sold in 1977 and the Win .32-20 was loaned to
my cousin in 1957 and sold It while I was in the military.

For me it would have to be my first deer rifle as a kid. It was a Savage bolt action 30-30. Deadly accurate at 100 to 150 yards. I always out shot my Dad, Grandfather and cousin's Marlin lever guns.

Rebel Hog,
Is your cousin still alive or just "bruised and contused?"

I started out with a cheap Auto Ordanance 1911 45 ACP. I shot it for a while then cracked the recoil lug. I put a new Sprinfiel Armories barrel in it then had it all tricked out with a match trigger and had a comp built for it. It was 1000% reliable and quite accurate. For some dumb reason I traded it for a new Springfield Armories 45 and started over again.[:@] I miss that gun BIG TIME. Now that I am retiered I will never be able to afford to build another. OH WELL at least My Ruger 45 ACP does the defense thing well. Thats far from the only one but it hurts the most. I let a couple of model 95's go as well. I live and DON"T learn
