replacement barrels for 8-shot Mossberg 500's.
Hi, I'm a first time user. I am planning on purchasing a Mossberg 500 Persuader, with an 8-shot magazine and 20" barrel. I would like to also purchase a 28" barrel for use with this weapon, but the one I found on www.mossberg.com and also www.cabelas.com appears to only be for the 6-shot Mossberg. Is there a way to fit it? I have very little experience with shotguns so any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Mossberg used to make a 28" tubed barrel for the 8 shot guns but I think they droped it last year.
NO the 6 shot barrel will not fit.
You could look at gun shows for one.

If you call mossberg, they will make one for ya. I just had them make me a smoothbore 18.5 barrel with rifle sights. Their customer service is awesome deffinately firt rate people to do business with.
